The following privacy policy was established to maintain the security, integrity and confidentiality of your personal financial information. We routinely collect and retain the information we obtain from your applications, forms, and transactions history. This information helps us:

▫ To establish and administer your accounts.
▫ To satisfy certain regulatory requirements.
▫ To provide you with additional or improved services.

C-B-W will only share information when absolutely necessary. We will share information to administer the products and services we provide, when required by government, or when we partner with other businesses to offer a broader array of products and services.

Access to your personal financial information is limited to employees with a specific business reason for utilizing this data. Our employees are cautioned about the importance of maintaining confidentiality and member privacy. In order to prevent unauthorized access to your information, we maintain security standards and procedures that conform to industry practices. These security standards and procedures are routinely tested and scrutinized to verify the integrity of our system.

C-B-W values the unique relationship it has with its members and holds their members’ rights to financial privacy in high regard. Protecting personal financial information and using it in a manner consistent with each member’s expectations is a paramount priority for everyone associated with C-B-W.

Safeguarding member information entrusted to the credit union is of paramount importance to C-B-W and its staff. The following is a list of steps taken by the credit union to ensure security and confidentiality of member records and information.

1) Member information that is protected includes records, data, and files on paper or in electronic form.
2) The office staff is constantly reminded that information regarding members is highly confidential and is not to be discussed with, or revealed to, anyone other than the respective member, other employees, and third party service providers on a need-to-know basis.
3) Dealings with third party service providers, such as computer software, share draft and ACH transmission, debit card and credit card communication, and the credit bureau, are only done when the credit union is insured that the providers have policies and procedures in place consistent with C-B-W’s policy of complete confidentiality.
4) Member records, including loan applications, are stored in locked, fire proof file cabinets.
5) When members telephone or walk in and initiate a transaction they are required to identify themselves by stating their account number or social security number before a staff member will give any information or follow the members’ instructions.
6) Currently, there is no information regarding a member’s account on the credit union’s website. And no one is able to access any member’s account.
7) Access to the building and member files is monitored by a security system designed to alert police and the fire department. The system can only be disarmed with a punch code known on by six employees and one cleaning person. If access is achieved and the alarm system is not disarmed, the police are automatically notified and a loud siren sounds.
8) The building is equipped with smoke detectors which, when activated, will alert the local fire department.

C-B-W constantly monitors, evaluates, and adjusts its information security procedures in response to new internal and external changes in technology and our own changing business arrangement with our members.
